Feldman Claims First Individual Title as Men's Golf Takes Second

Feldman wins at Shadow Ridge
OMAHA, Neb. -- Reigning BIG EAST Golfer of the Week Grant Feldman won his first tournament at the collegiate level with a 9-under 207 to help Creighton men's golf tie for second place at the Bluejay Invitational, which concluded on Tuesday.
With eleven teams participating in the tournament held at Shadow Ridge Country Club, the Bluejays showed out by shooting 12-under par on the third day and tying for second with St. Thomas after posting team scores of 291-286-276 for an 854 total. Numerous members of the Bluejay team broke personal records in CU's first home tournament in more than 20 years.
Feldman stood out by carding a stellar 9-under par for the three-round tournament after shooting scores of 67-70-70 for a 207 total, Feldman placed first by one shot to claim his first individual title broke his personal 54-hole scoring record by two shots with a 207 total, which is tied for the fifth-best score in program history. He now owns 10 career top-10 finishes, with seven finishes in the top-five.
Owen Price posted scores of 75-71-68=214 in his first tournament of the year to tie for 12th place.Â
With a bogey-free third round, junior Brock Kuhlman tied his career best 54-hole tournament record with a 75-72-68=215. His third round 68 his new collegiate career-low round. The Nebraska native tied for 16th with his scores this week.
Tying with Kuhlman was sophomore Carson Wright. The individual also broke his career low-round by six shots with his second round 68. He also now has a new 54-hole scoring low for his collegiate career to date with scores of 74-68-73=215 totaling 215, breaking his old best by 16 shots.
Sophomore Jacob Kutner posted scores of 74-74-70=218, setting a new personal low round of 70 in his collegiate career. Placing in a tie for 27th with fellow Bluejay Henry Kuehne (74-74-72=218), as they both shot a 218 for the week. Kuehne, playing as an individual, also broke his 54-hole scoring record by one shot.
The last of the team scoring players was Radley Mauney, who was in a tie for 33rd. He shot a respectable 220 for the tournament with scores of 75-73-72=220 and set a new 54-hole scoring record for himself by two strokes.
Sophomore Gavin Gerch shot a three-round tournament score of 224 with scores of 79-72-73 and placed a tie for 48th this week in his 2025-26 debut.
Another player who broke their 54-hole scoring record was Kolby Brown who finished in a tie for 58th with two other players in the field. His scores of 75-78-76 totaled 229 and broke his record by two shots.
Making his Bluejay debut was JJ Bordeaux. The freshman from University Place, Wash., shot scores of 75-80-78=233, which put him in a tie for 62nd in the field.
Claiming the team title this week was North Dakota State (281-282-284=847), who shot 17-under par for three rounds. The Bison's team score of 847 put them six shots above Creighton (291-286-276=853) and St. Thomas (281-291-281=853), who tied in second.
Shadow Ridge Country Club hosted the action, which had a par 72 layout and measured 7,079 yards. The tournament featured 11 teams, plus individuals from Nebraska and Iowa, as there were 71 players in the field overall.
The Bluejays will hit the links once again on September 22nd and 23rd when they play in the Git-R-Done Invitational at Firethorn Golf Course hosted by Nebraska next week.
