Ryan Soukup joins the Creighton softball coaching staff for his first season as a volunteer assistant.
Soukup spent the past seven seasons at the University of Missouri as a graduate assistant and student manager for the softball program.
The Sioux Falls, South Dakota, native spent the past two seasons (2016-2017) as a graduate assistant at Missouri, and primarily worked with pitchers, catchers and outfielders. He helped guide Chelsea Thomas, Taylor Gadbois, Emily Crane and Sami Fagan to All-American status.
Soukup served as a student manager for the Tigers from 2011-2015.
Missouri advanced to the 2013 SEC Tournament championship and the Super Regionals on four different occasions during his time on the bench.
Soukup also served as the coach of South Dakota Gold, South Dakota’s college showcase club team based in Sioux Falls, from 2015-17. He has also taught
private softball lessons since 2014.
Soukup graduated from Missouri in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management and a Master of Education in Positive Coaching in 2017.
