ST. LOUIS Junior Brian Biggerstaff of the Creighton men's soccer team has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Week and honored on the CollegeSoccerNews.com National Team of the Week after his play in wins over Vanderbilt and Western Kentucky last weekend. The forward scored three goals, two game-winners, and added an assist as the Bluejays moved their season-long winning streak to five games.
Making his first start of the season on Friday night, Biggerstaff scored two goals in the first ten minutes of the match against Vanderbilt. He then assisted on the third goal of the night in a 3-1 Bluejay win over the Commodores.

The eighth-ranked Bluejays are 11-2-0 on the season and tied for first place in the MVC with a 5-1-0 record in conference play (15 points). CU travels to Des Moines to face off with Drake on Saturday night at 7 p.m.
