Women's Soccer Falls 3-2 to Missouri State

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. ? The women's soccer team dropped the finale of its three-game roadtrip, 3-2 to Missouri State, Sunday afternoon in Springfield, Mo.

The Bluejays battled back in the second half after trailing 3-0 with 25 minutes to go, but it was not enough as the team dropped to 10-5-0 overall and 2-2-0 in MVC play.

Senior forward Marcy Gans scored her 13^th goal and 29^th point of the season moving her into a tie for third on the all-time single season Creighton scoring list with both marks. She had the same marks a year ago. Her goal came in the 71^st minute of an assist from freshman Macy Mauer.

Sophomore Tara Bailey got Creighton on the board in the 65^th minute for her first goal of the season, and just the second of her career.

The Bluejays return home for a non-conference matchup against North Dakota on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
