The Bluejays (27-13, 6-2 MVC) were held scoreless until the seventh inning. Sophomore Renae Sinkler connected for her fourth home run of the year, and first since March 8, sending a solo shot over the right center field fence for CU's only run of the game with one out in the frame.
The game would remain tied at 1-1 until two outs in the bottom of the ninth. Bright helped herself by smacking a triple to right center field after Oltman had retired the first two batters of the inning. Oltman then hit Stanclift with a 2-2 pitch to bring up Kiersten Dixon.
One day after being shut out by Bright, the Bluejays managed just three hits and one run in defeat on Sunday. Bright (17-10) struck out 12 and walked none in the nine-inning complete game for the Shockers.
Oltman dropped her second straight decision after winning 11 consecutive to fall to 18-6 on the season. The sophomore right-hander hurled 8.2 innings, allowed eight hits, two runs, walked one and struck out eight in the loss.
The loss handed Creighton its first MVC series loss since April of 2006.
