- The former Missouri Valley Conference rivals last met on Feb. 21, 2013 in Cedar Fall, Iowa. Creighton won that game, 73-66. The Bluejays hold a slim 13-11 lead in games at Northern Iowa.
- Northern Iowa head coach Tanya Warren is one of two players to have her number hang in the rafters at D.J. Sokol Arena. The other is the coach of Creighton's next opponent, Nebraska.
