Injury Bug Has Been Biting the Bluejays
Coach Flanery will be looking for some extra strength bug repellant as over the past two weeks Creighton seen more than its share of bites.
Just before the Bluejays battle with Drake on Nov. 24, junior Brianna Rollerson was sidelined in practice with a Jones fracture to her left foot.
Just a few days later senior Marissa Janning suffered a fractured fibia in the closing moments of the fourth quarter during Creighton's 66-60 overtime win versus Eastern Washington.
Both Rollerson and Janning are expected to be sidelined at least 6-8 weeks.

Keys to the Game w/Kansas
- Adjusting to new roles: Injuries to Rollerson and Janning will force the Bluejays into new roles. How quickly this adjustment occurs is crucial to Wednesday and to the season. Â
- Handling zone defense: The Bluejays have struggled in the last few games against zone. As a result Creighton expects to see more of it. The Bluejays must score enough to push Kansas out of zone.
- Rebound: Kansas has 77 offensive boards in just five games (15.4 orpg). Creighton needs to take away the extra opportunities from the Jayhawks.
