
Rollie Lacy Earns Freshman All-American Honors

TUCSON, Ariz. - Baseball's Rollie Lacy earned Freshman All-American honors from Collegiate Baseball on Wednesday, June 3.
An All-BIG EAST First Team selection, Lacy closed his freshman campaign with a 2.66 ERA and a 6-1 record in 74.1 innings of work. The series ace for the majority of the 2015 season, Lacy led Creighton in wins (6), Innings pitched (74.1) and strikeouts (47).
Lacy appeared in 18 games in 2015, including 12 starts. He opened the season with six consecutive victories, suffering his first loss in the BIG EAST Baseball Championships against eventual champion, St. John's.
A native of Minnetrista, Minn., Lacy is the 11th Creighton player to earn Freshman All-American accolades and the sixth since 1999. Past honorees include Tommy Strunc (2012), Mike Gerber (2011), Casey Schmidt (2007), Tony Roth (2002) and Scott Yahraus (1999).
Under the direction of Ed Servais, Creighton finished the 2015 season with a 32-19 record.
