- Strunc led Creighton in wins (7), innings pitched (71.2), games started (14) and strikeouts (55).
- Along the way, he earned Freshman All-American honors from Collegiate Baseball Newspaper.
- The redshirt freshman cracked the starting rotation in Creighton’s
- second game of the season at Dallas Baptist on Feb. 16.
- Tossed seven innings of one-run ball to best BYU, 5-1, on March 1,
- earning his first win as a Bluejay.
- Strunc moved to 3-0 with a two run, 7.1 inning performance against
- Pacific on March 15.
- Strunc won his fourth straight start and first in MVC action, limiting Evansville to one run on six hits in six innings on March 22.
- Tommy flirted with history, tossing eight no-hit innings against
- Southern Illinois on April 19. Strunc gave up a hit to open the ninth, but earned his fifth win.
- Led Creighton to a Friday night win over rival Nebraska, allowing two runs on five hits in six innings as the Bluejays claimed the 5-3 win on April 26.
- Tommy nabbed his seventh victory at Wichita State on May 10, holding Wichita State to three runs on six hits in five innings.

- Strunc used his redshirt option during the 2012 season.

- Competed in baseball and basketball for the Golden Eagles, earning three varsity letters for baseball and a letter in basketball.
- His most successful season was his sophomore year, when he helped his team to a 22-4 overall record and second-place finish in the 5A State Tournament.
- Earned all-area following his senior season in baseball, when he guided his team to a 9-13 record.
