Women's Basketball Pink Out Auction Underway

As part of the nation-wide Coaches Vs. Cancer event, women's basketball fans are encouraged to wear pink to promote cancer awareness and participate in the "Creighton Vs. Cancer Pink Out" game when the Head Coach Jim Flanery and the Bluejays host the Providence Friars at D.J. Sokol Arena on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 1:00 pm
Bluejay players will wear pink shooting shirts and pink jerseys for the game and fans have the opportunity to honor a friend or family member who has battled cancer or is currently battling cancer by purchasing the apparel via auction (the shooting shirt can be personalized – last name, nickname, etc.). "Pink Out" t-shirts are also available for purchase at the Creighton Bookstore on campus as well as these Lawlor's Custom Sportswear locations: Westroads Mall and the Superstore at 84th & J Streets. Complimentary "Pink Out" posters will be available to fans exiting the venue after the game.Â
Bidding began on Thursday, Jan. 27 (tonight) and will close at various times on Sunday (Feb. 5) in 15-minute increments (starting at 6:45 p.m.).Â

The first 1,000 fans entering the venue on Saturday, Feb. 11 will receive a complimentary pink t-shirt courtesy of CHI Health and Methodist Estabrook Cancer Center. Complimentary "Pink Out" posters will be available to fans exiting the venue after the game on Saturday, Feb. 11.Â
Tickets can be purchased in advance by stopping by the Wayne & Eileen Ryan Athletic Center Ticket Office or at any Ticketmaster outlet (Baker's, Younkers). Fans can also purchase single-game tickets in advance by going online at Ticketmaster.com or charging by phone via Ticketmaster at 800-745-3000. Single-game reserved ticket prices are $8 per adult and $5 per youth (ages 3-18, children two and under are free).
