Bluejay Baseball Heads to Kansas for Midweek Battle with Jayhawks

Omaha, Neb. -- Riding a three-game win streak, the Creighton Baseball team heads to Lawrence, Kan. to face the Jayhawks on Wednesday at 3:00 pm.

McLoughlin. The Jayhawk shortstop is hitting .354 on the season, while the second leading Kansas hitter Rudy Karre has an average of .262.

Albrecht's Performance Puts Bluejays on Winning Path, Nets Spot on BIG EAST Honor Roll
Jeff ended Creighton's eight-game losing streak on Saturday, by limiting Utah Valley to one run on four hits of 6.2 innings in the first game of a doubleheader. Albrecht kept the Wolverines off the board until the seventh, allowing Creighton to build a 3-0 lead. The 3-2 victory spurred the Bluejays onto a three-game winning streak to take the series from Utah Valley.
Emodi Erupts for Seven RBI in Bluejays' 19-5 Win
After getting his first partial day off of the season, not starting the second game of Saturday's doubleheader, Omaha native Michael Emodi erupted for four hits in five at-bats with seven RBI in Creighton's 19-5 win over Utah Valley on Sunday, March 19. Emodi's seven RBI outburst were the most by a Bluejay since Ryan Fitzgerald did so against Wichita State on April 27, 2003. Emodi started the game with a two-run double in the first inning and capped the contest with a grand slam down the left field line in the seventh.
