- 2015 All-BIG EAST Second Team
2015 (Junior at Creighton)
- Fitzgerald earned Second Team All-BIG EAST honors at second base and was voted onto the BIG EAST All-Tournament Team.
- Ryan started all 51 games for Creighton (43 at second base), hitting .279 with a team-high four home runs.
- He led the team with 13 doubles and 80 total bases.
- Fitzgerald hit for the cycle while going 5-for-5 with four RBI, three runs scored and adding an additional double against Villanova on May 14.
- He went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two walks in the first home game of the season against Minnesota on March 7.
- Ryan finished 3-for-4 with two RBI, two runs scored and a home run against Stetson on March 29.
- The middle infielder went 2-for-3 with three RBI, three runs scored and a home run against Xavier on April 10.
- Fitzgerald hit .356 with men in scoring position (21-of-59).

2014 (Sophomore at Creighton)
- Taking over as the starting shortstop, Fitzgerald started all 50 games for the Bluejays.
- Following a slow start, Ryan finished with 42 hits, including 10 extra-base knocks.
- Ryan ignited his season with seven hits in 10 at-bats against North Dakota (April 5-6). Â
- Fitzgerald became the first player to hit a home run to center field in TD Ameritrade Park Omaha history, smacking an
- inside-the-park grand slam in Creighton’s 16-5 win over Georgetown on April 12.
- He was 3-for-4 with two doubles against Omaha on April 22.
- Ryan closed the series at St. John’s with seven hits in 15 at-bats (.467), scoring six runs to help the Bluejays take two of three from the Red Storm.
- Fitzgerald reached base in 10 consecutive games (May 2 - 17). During the stretch he drew a walk in nine games and had at least one hit in six contests.
2013 (Freshman at Creighton)
- Fitzgerald hit .290 in limited action as a freshman, playing 27 games in 2013, including 18 starts.
- Ryan collected his first start and first hit, going 1-for-2 with two walks at Evansville on March 23.
- Delivered two RBI in the 11-4 win at Omaha on March 30.
- He earned consecutive starts in four games, going 4-for-14 (.286) from March 29-April 2.
- Ryan matched a season-high with two hits (2-for-4) in the Bluejays’ 9-4 win at Illinois State on May 5 in 11 innings.
- He laced a bases-loaded double against Nebraska on May 14.
2009-12 (Fenwick High School)
- A two-time letterwinner in baseball for the Friars, Fitzgerald led Fenwick to a 39-29 record in his two seasons.
- Ryan was a two-time Chicago Catholic League All-Conference First Team selection and played in four all-star games.
- Fitzgerald also was ranked in the top five shortstops of Illinois by Prep Baseball Report. He was also the Illinois High School Baseball Coaches Association All-Area/All-State Selection.
- Ryan hit .456 during his senior season, collecting 42 hits. He smacked 17 extra-base hits (seven doubles, seven triples and three home runs). His on-base percentage in 2012 was .569, while his slugging percentage was .748.
- Fitzgerald’s junior numbers were equally impressive, posting a .389 average with 42 hits, 31 runs scored, 16 RBI and a .602 slugging percentage.
