The Creighton Athletic Department announced the establishment of the Bruce and Jill Rasmussen Family Athletic Endowed Scholarship at the 2018 Bluejay Jamboree. Thanks to the support of all those in attendance, and our event chairpersons Janie and Harry Hoch, Jr., nearly $250,000 was raised to establish the endowment in honor of longtime McCormick Endowed Athletic Director Bruce Rasmussen, his wife Jill, and their family's tireless commitment to Creighton Athletics.
The endowment will provide scholarship support to outstanding Bluejay student-athletes who excel both in the classroom and in competition.

The 2017-18 chairman of the highly-esteemed NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Committee, Bruce Rasmussen is in his 25th year as the McCormick Endowed Athletic Director, and 39th overall at Creighton University.
Rasmussen's tenure has been marked by Creighton's incredible rise to prominence in the BIG EAST Conference and Division I Intercollegiate Athletics. Along with the successes in competition under Rasmussen's leadership, Creighton student-athletes have also excelled in the classroom and in the community. Rasmussen has made his mark on campus with the addition of new athletic facilities and record-breaking fundraising efforts.
The Bruce and Jill Rasmussen Family Athletic Endowed Scholarship strives to recognize the incredible dedication the Rasmussen family has shown to Creighton Bluejay student-athletes, the athletic department, University and Omaha community.
