Men's and Women's Soccer Each Earn United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Awards For 2018-19

Women's team accumulated a 3.52 GPA, while the men's team claimed a 3.32 grade point average
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Creighton men's and women's soccer programs were recognized by the United Soccer Coaches on Thursday as each Bluejay squad earned a team academic award for 2018-19.
College Team Academic Award recipients are active members of the United Soccer Coaches College Services Program with a composite grade point of average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale for all players on the roster. The Creighton women's team accumulated a 3.52 GPA, while the men's team claimed a 3.32 grade point average.Â
This year marks the ninth consecutive season that the women's team has earned the United Soccer Coaches team academic award (2010-2019) as well as the 21st time in the last 23 seasons. The men's squad claimed its 11th honor in the last 12 seasons (2008-12, 2014-19).

A total of 989 college teams (345 men, 644 women) earned the Team Academic Award. Among the recipients, 255 schools had both their men's and women's programs among the recipients, including Creighton.
