Mease Earns Flight C Singles Crown, Hoff and Diaz Win Flight C Doubles Of Bluejay Invite

Mease won a pair of three-set matches on Saturday, Hoff and Diaz complete 3-0 round robin format
OMAHA, Neb. -- Mac Mease earned a pair of three-set victories to earn the Flight C singles crown, while Joe Hoff and Jose Oscar Diaz combined for the Flight C doubles championship as the Creighton men's tennis team concluded play during the Bluejays Invitational on Saturday at the Koch Family Tennis Center.
Mease won 6-2, 2-6, 10-5 during the semifinals before the senior earned the championship with similar scores in a three-set match.
Hoff and Diaz claimed a 6-4 win during the third round of a round robin format of doubles. The pair downed a team from North Dakota, 6-4, to complete a 3-0 sweep of the flight.
Luke Moorhead (Flight D Singles) and Nick Campbell (Flight A Singles) also finished 1-1 during singles action on Saturday. Daniel Lopez-Rey and Stratton Brown combined for a victory in Flight B Doubles during a tiebreaker.
Creighton continues its fall slate with the ITA Central Regionals in Norman, Oklahoma, Oct. 24-27.
