
Women's Golf Inks Eleanor Hudepohl

Cincinnati product is second Bluejay recruit this fall.
OMAHA, Neb. -- Eleanor Hudepohl has signed a letter-of-intent with the Creighton women's golf program. Currently a senior at Ursuline High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, Hudepohl will join the Bluejays next fall.
Hudepohl was twice named Girls Greater Catholic League Player of the Year after posting a league-best 36.50 stroke average per nine holes as a senior, and a 39.00 average as a junior. She won the district meet as a junior, then finished second as a senior. Hudepohl was named to the Southwest Ohio First Team, and also qualified for the state meet as a senior, where she tied for sixth place.
In June, she was recognized by the Greater Cincinnati Golf Association as the 58th Metropolitan Junior Girls Champion. Hudepohl has posted a win on the Golfweek Junior Tour each of the past three seasons, and in 2019 was runner-up for the circuit's Player of the Year award.
She was also recognized by the Optimist Junior Golf Committee with a spot on the 2020 Hugh Cranford All-Scholastic Team and was also honored as the national Community Service Award Winner. She carries a 4.5 cumulative GPA, is a club officer with the National Honor Society and a member of the First Honors Honor Roll, National Junior Classical League Honor Society and Honorable Merit Cum Laude. She is also a writer and staff editor with the school newspaper, a club leader with Model United Nations, a retreat leader and mentor for Peers As Leaders and an ambassador through Ursuline Academy United.
Hudepohl joins Katherine Lemke (Geneva, Ill.) as Bluejay recruits who have signed on for the 2021-22 campaign. Both Hudepohl and Lemke were the winners of the 2020 Maureen J. Garrity Scholarship for Women, established to support the education of women who participated in the Pepsi Little People's Golf Championships.
