Series with Xavier: Bluejays Lead Musketeers 13-2
Creighton holds a significant edge on Xavier since the two became BIG EAST foes with 13 wins in 15 contests.
The Bluejays have earned a win in each of the last nine meetings. Despite the Bluejays decisive edge in the win column, the Musketeers have been more than
competitive, twice forcing overtime and falling by just three points in Cincinnati earlier this season.

Scouting Xavier (4-4, 1-3 BIG EAST)
After opening the season 3-0 with victories over Detroit-Mercy, Wofford and Indiana State, Xavier dropped contests to Valparaiso, #3 Connecticut and Marquette.
The Musketeers are led by freshman transfer (Miami (Ohio)) Nia Clark, who is averaging 15.2 ppg and senior A'riana Gray with 12.7 ppg. However, neither Clark nor Gray were available (Covid-Contact Tracing) in the Musketeers win over Providence on New Years Eve, nor the loss to Creighton on Jan. 3. Both are expected back on Jan. 16.
Xavier will try to push tempo and force turnovers against the Bluejays, averaging 17.9 created per game. The Musketeers are just under 11 steals per contest (10.9).
Scouting Creighton (3-6, 2-3 BIG EAST)
Despite one of its worst shooting performances from beyond the arc (3-of-22, .136) at Xavier on Jan. 3, the Bluejays managed a 53-50 win over the Musketeers.
Even considering the rust that Creighton will undoubtedly have with a 13 day layoff, the Bluejays should expect better results at home.
The Bluejays committed 15 turnovers in the first meeting and dished out just 10 assists. That was the first time since Creighton opened the season 0-3 that the Bluejays committed more turnovers than assists handed out, five consecutive games.

Déjà vu: Bluejays and Musketeers Meet Again
Saturday will mark just the fourth time in program history that Creighton will face the same team in consecutive games during the regular season. The last time it
happened in the regular season was at the tail end of the 1986-87 season as Creighton played back-to-back games at Northern Arizona. At the time, current Bluejay McCormick Endowed Athletic Director Bruce Rasmussen was the Creighton women's basketball head coach.
It is the 11th time in program history the Bluejays will face the same team in consecutive games. The last seven coming at the end of the regular season and the opening game of the conference tournament.
It is the second time Creighton is playing a true home and home in consecutive games in the same season, also happening during the 1974-75 season against College of Saint Mary (Feb. 1 and Feb. 4).
