Omaha, Neb. -- The Creighton women's soccer team fell to St. John's 3-0 on Sunday, October 24th in the Bluejays' final home match of the 2021 season.
The loss dropped Creighton to 6-8-2 overall and 1-7-1 in BIG EAST contests. St. John's climbed to 9-5-2 on the season and 5-3-1 in conference action.
St. John's jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 5th minute (4:58) as senior Zsani Kajan delivered the first of her three goals in the match. Kajan finished a play set in motion by a crossing pass from Nicole Gordon in the Bluejay box.
Kajan added a second goal in the 17th minute (16:28) as Gordon and Angelina Scuma found her open along the right side.
The Red Storm and Kajan's third goal came in the 78th minute (77:07)
St. John's out shot Creighton 12-5 and held a 5-1 edge on corners created.
The Bluejays committed just one foul in the match, a program low since at least 2002.
Creighton wraps up is 2021 campaign on Thursday, October 28th at Butler. That match is set for a 6:00 pm (CT) kick off.
