Flanery vs. Northern Iowa
Flanery is 20-13 against Northern Iowa, is 6-5 against the Jackrabbits, but holds a 13-2 mark against the Panthers in D.J. Sokol Arena.
Scouting Northern Iowa (3-1)
The Panthers are 2-0 on the road this season, posting victories at Saint Louis (63-54) and at North Dakota State (76-63). Northern Iowa's only loss came at home against the nationally ranked Iowa Hawkeyes (61-82) on Nov. 14.
Kam Finley and Karli Rucker leads the Panthers with 12.8 points per game (ppg) and 12.0 ppg respectively this season. As a team Northern Iowa has a balanced attack with nine players averaging at least 5.0 ppg.
Northern Iowa is shooting 42.2% from the field (106-of-251). Defensively the Panthers have forced 71 turnovers, just under 18 (17.75) per game.
Head coach Tanya Warren is in her 15th season leading the Panthers. More than a familiar name to Creighton, Warren is one of two players with her number in the rafters at D.J. Sokol Arena and was an assistant coach for the Bluejays from 2004-07.
Scouting Creighton (2-2)
The strength of Creighton's start to the 2021-22 season has been its depth. The Bluejays went at least 10 deep in each of the first four contests. That depth has allowed the Bluejays to remain fresh throughout the game.
It specifically paid dividends in Creighton's ability to crash the boards throughout the game at Nebraska, yielding 54 rebounds.
The Bluejays have had a different player lead them in scoring in each of the first four contests. Five players enter the battle with Northern Iowa averaging at least 8.5 ppg.

Keys To the Game on Sunday, Nov. 27
- Taking advantage of the Paint: In the two meetings last season the Panthers got 29 combined points from Megan Maahs. Her size and presence is missing for Northern Iowa this season. Creighton enters the game with a size advantage down low and must take advantage.
- Ball Security: Northern Iowa is forcing close to 18 turnovers per game and the Bluejays are committing 13.5 per game.
- Tatum Rembao and Molly Mogensen: Rembao did not play in either game last season against the Panthers and her late game heroics were critical in the Bluejays' win over the Panthers in 2019-20. Mogensen, meanwhile, had 12 points and three assists in the game at Northern Iowa last season. In the WNIT meeting, Mogensen was just returning from mono and committed four turnovers with zero assists and points.
