Scouting Creighton (2-3-0, 2-1-0 BIG EAST)
The Bluejays seek to get back to their winning ways after a pair of losses last week.
Creighton fell 2-0 in a neutral site match against No. 19 Missouri State before dropping a 2-1 contest at DePaul.
The Bluejays are currently tied at the top of the BIG EAST Midwest Division Standings with six points
Diego Gutierrez leads the team with two goals after scoring a pair against Xavier. The senior transfer also has one assist to pace the Bluejays with seven points.
Daniel Espeleta tallied a pair of assists during Creighton's last home match against Xavier to take the team-lead in helpers, while four other players each have one.
Creighton was picked second in the Midwest Division of the BIG EAST Preseason Polls and junior goalkeeper Paul Kruse earned Preseason Goalkeeper of the Year accolades.
Head coach Johnny Torres is in his second year at the helm of the Bluejays after spending 12 years as an assistant coach.
Scouting Butler (1-4-2, 1-0-2 BE)
The Bulldogs head to Omaha after a pair of 0-0 draws last week against Marquette and Xavier.
Butler's lone victory of the season came on March 3 against DePaul as the Bulldogs scored five goals and shutout the Blue Demons.
Wilmer Cabrera Jr., the 2019 BIG EAST Freshman of the Year, leads Butler with three goals and two assists.
The Bulldogs have managed to score in only two different matches this season and been shut out five times.
Gabriel Gjergji has started each match at goalkeeper for Butler. The junior has not allowed a goal during BIG EAST play and currently owns a 365 minute scoreless streak.
Head coach Paul Snape is in his 10th season at the helm of the Bulldogs.
Series History Against Bulldogs
Creighton leads the all-time series against Butler, 8-3-1.
The Bluejays are 4-1-1 at Morrison Stadium against the Bulldogs.
The two teams split a pair of matches last season in Omaha.
Creighton defeated Butler 2-1 in double overtime during the 2019 regular season before the Bulldogs posted a 1-0 win over the Bulldogs during the first round of the BIG EAST Championship.

The Golden Eagles started the with three overtime victories but are 1-1-1 during the past three weeks in BIG EAST play.
Lukas Sunesson paces the team with four goals, while Beto Soto has two.
Marquette has used three different goalkeepers but allowed only three goals through six matches.
Chandler Hallwood has started the last five matches and leads the BIG EAST with a .893 save percentage (25 saves, three goals allowed).
Head coach Louis Bennett is in his 15th season at the helm of the Golden Eagles.

Creighton leads the all-time series 9-7-1.
The Bluejays posted a 2-1 overtime win in Milwaukee during Creighton's season opener (Feb. 20).

The Bluejays and Golden Eagles played to a 1-1 draw before Marquette advanced on penalty kicks during the 2018 BIG EAST Championship at Morrison Stadium.
Last Time Out
Creighton fell 2-1 to DePaul during a BIG EAST Midwest Division match on Saturday afternoon at Wish Field in Chicago.
DePaul scored the game-winning goal off a corner kick during the 78th minute. Timmy Iscra headed home a corner from Jake Fuderer to give the Blue Demons a one-goal advantage.
Creighton's goal came during the 45th minute. Trailing 1-0, the Bluejays used a late attack to tie the match just before the half. After a throw in from the near sideline, Mitch Dobson recovered a loose ball in the box and slotted it inside the near post for his first career goal as a Bluejay.
The Blue Demons' first goal of the match came on a free kick from just outside the top of the 18-yard box during the 27th minute.
After an even first half, Creighton held an 8-3 edge in shots during the second half but DePaul made four saves to keep the Bluejays out of the goal column in the final 45 minutes.
DePaul owned a 12-5 edge in corner kicks, including 9-2 after halftime.
Dobson and Musa Qongo each had two shots on goal to pace the Bluejays, while Nathan Schnur made three saves during his third start of the season.
Fortress Morrison
Creighton is 144-28-21 overall at Morrison Stadium (opened in 2003), and finished 2019 with a 7-3-0 mark, including a 3-1-0 record during BIG EAST play.
The Bluejays owned two shutouts at home in 2019 (both league matches) and six in their 11 home matches in 2018.
Creighton has never lost consecutive matches at Morrison Stadium during the same season.
Creighton's loss at Morrison Stadium against No. 17 Virginia Tech to open the 2017 season followed the team's loss at home to end the 2016 campaign (2-1 vs. Providence), marking the first time since 1985 that Creighton had lost consecutive home matches.
The Bluejays are 24-1-3 in their next home match following a home loss at Morrison, including an 2-0-0 mark last season.
