Omaha, Neb. -- The Creighton Baseball team gets back after it this weekend in Kansas as the Bluejays begin a four-game series in Lawrence with the Jayhawks on Friday, March 19 at 3:00 pm.

Scouting the Jayhawks (2021: 8-6, 0-0 Big 12)
The Jaywaks have won five of their last six games, taking three of four from Nebraska-Omaha last weekend. The weekend series with the Bluejays will be Kansas' home opener, after
moving the series with the Mavericks to Omaha due to weather concerns.
Kansas enters the series with the Bluejays hitting .241 as a team, led by Skyler Messinger's .304 average. One other Jayhawk is near the .300 mark, with Nolan Metcalf hitting .296 on the season.
On the bump the Jayhawks have a 3.38 ERA, including an impressive 0.69 mark from starter Cole Larsen.
Scouting the Bluejays (2021: 4-3, 0-0 BIG EAST)
The Bluejays are chomping at the bit to get back to action after a COVID-19 issue for South Dakota State cancelled the weekend series. Â
Creighton opened the 2021 campaign by splitting four games in Nashville, then took a three-game series from UNO on March 5-7.
At the plate the Bluejays are hitting .294 as a team, led by seven players over .300. Leading the way for the
regulars are sophomore Andrew Meggs (.423) and freshman Alan Roden (.385).
On the mound Creighton has a 4.02 ERA. Left-handed relievers Paul
Bergstrom, Ryan Cowdrey and Kaleb Carpenter have not allowed a run in six combined appearances.
Weekend Series with South Dakota State Cancelled
The Creighton Baseball weekend series scheduled for March 12-13 with South Dakota State has been canceled due to positive COVID-19 test results within the Jackrabbit program.
