
Aida Kardovic Named to United Soccer Coaches Association All-East Region Second Team

Aida is just the second Bluejays to earn All-East Region honors twice
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the second time in her career, Creighton senior Aida Kardovic was named to the United Soccer Coaches Association All-East Region Second Team on Wednesday, December 7.
Earning her second All-East Region honor, Kardovic is just the second Bluejays to earn multiple United Soccer Coaches Association All-Region honors, joining Lulu Quigley's Third Team All-East Region honors in 2002 and 2003.
The Kassel, Germany native appeared in 14 matches for Creighton this season, logging a combined 965 minutes. Kardovic found the back of the net twice, while ranking tied for second on the team with three assists this season. During her Bluejay career, Kardovic delivered nine goals and five assists, while playing 2,879 minutes in 37 matches.
Earlier this fall, Kardovic became just the second Bluejay in school history to earn three straight All-Conference First Team honors. She is joined by Brittney Neumann, who earned All-MVC First Team accolades in 2009, 2010 and 2011, as the only players to earn First Team All-Conference honors in three straight seasons.
In total, 11 members of the BIG EAST Conference were recognized on the United Soccer Coaches Association All-Region Teams.
