Casey Ross and Matthew Lanahan then clinched the doubles point for Creighton with a 6-4 victory over JP Vallejo and Jhonny Acosta at the top doubles position. With the doubles point already solidified, NC Wesleyan's John Falke and Roberto Puig grabbed a 7-6 win at the No. 2 spot.

Puig knotted the game up at 1-1 with a 0-6, 6-3, 10-7 win over Inoue at the No. 3 singles position. The Bluejays grabbed the lead right back when Stratton Brown captured a 1-6, 7-5, 10-7 win over Falke at the No. 2 singles position. Lanahan gave the Jays a 3-1 lead with a 6-3, 6-3 straight-sets victory over Segovia at the No. 5 slot. NC Wesleyan's Augusto Roca cut the deficit to one with a 1-6, 6-4, 10-7 win over Jose Oscar Diaz at the No. 4 singles slot. Ross then clinched the match for the Bluejays with a 6-4, 4-6, 10-7 triumph at the top singles position. With the match already won by the Bluejays, NC Wesleyan's Luca Knese picked up a 7-5, 6-4 win over Ethan Neil at the No. 6 singles position.
"This was great match against a strong team who will have a chance at a national championship in DIII," said head coach Tom Lilly. "We knew it would be a nail bitter and we came out with some of our best doubles yet. "The format called for match tie breakers instead of third sets and we were able to win 50 percent of those along with Matty's. It was a great way to end the spring break trip."
The Bluejays returns to the court on March 19 when they visit Omaha with first serve scheduled for 7 p.m.
