Keys To the Game on Friday, March 18
Players to Watch for Creighton
Tatum Rembao and Morgan Maly: Rembao will need to control her emotions as the Colorado native faces the Buffaloes for the first time. As Rembao goes, so does the Bluejays. Maly provides a knockout punch off the bench for Creighton. She also can be a bit streaky, so getting her going early in the game is important.
Holdovers from Last Meeting Between Creighton and Colorado
The Creighton coaching staff features three members that were either on the staff or on the court. Head coach Jim Flanery is in his 20th season at the helm, while current Director of Operations Jenny Vickers was an assistant coach in 2011. Assistant coach Carli Berger (Carli Tritz at the time) was on the court for the game in 2011, leading Creighton with 18 points.
Rembao Bookends Career in NCAA Tournament
Senior Tatum Rembao is the lone player on the Creighton squad that was on the team the last time the Bluejays reached the NCAA Tournament in 2018. Using a fifth-year option due to Covid, Rembao played four minutes against UCLA in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament.
