Bluejay Baseball Battles Minnesota in Weekend Series

Omaha, Neb. -- Creighton Baseball returns home to Charles Schwab Field Omaha for a three-game series with Minnesota this weekend. Creighton enters the series on an offensive high with 25 runs in its last two games, but Minnesota has a strong starting rotation.

Scouting the Bluejays (2022: 6-6, 0-0 BIG EAST)
After opening the season 0-4, Creighton has won six of the last eight. Offensively, the Bluejays scored 25 runs over the past weekend in a pair of games with Central Arkansas and Tennessee-Martin.

Just as Roden seemed to find his groove in Arkansas, so too did senior Chris Esposito. The Kansas native went 6-for-10 with three runs scored, seven RBI and two home runs in the pair of games in Arkansas. Esposito had three hits, including a home run, in wins over Central Arkansas and UT-Martin. The highlight of his weekend was a grand slam in the fifth innings against the Skyhawks.
