Getting to Know Nolan Sailors
- Sailors was one of three Creighton players named to the All-BIG EASTÂ Second Team.
- After guiding Creighton to four wins out of five games against Nebraska, North Dakota State, and Butler during the week of April 2nd, Sailors earned BIG EAST Player of the Week.
- Nolan played in all 52 games, starting in 51 of those, ending the 2024 season leading the team in batting average with .355.Â
- He also led the team in runs scored (53) including seven home runs.Â
- Sailors produced 23 multi-hit games, leading the team with 70 hits overall.Â
- He produced a team-high 55 RBI, including 17Â multi-RBI games.
- Against Butler on April 6, Sailors went 3-for-4 with a double, three runs, and three RBI.
- Sailors delivered four RBI against Villanova on April 19th, where he went 4-for-5 with three runs scored including a home run.Â
- His batting average peaked at .406 on April 19th.
2023 (Sophomore)
- Nolan started all 49 games for the Bluejays in 2023, closing the season hitting .271 with a team leading 11 stolen bases and 15 doubles.
- Sailors delivered 14 multi-hit games, including four games with three hits.
- He also had seven multi-RBI contests, including four with three or more.
- Early in the season Nolan produced at least one hit in 12 straight games (Feb. 18 - March 18).
- His season high average reached .378 on March 11 after going 5-for-10 in a pair of victories over BYU on March 10 & 11.
- Sailors was 3-for-3 with two doubles, three runs scored and an RBI in the Bluejays’ 6-0 win over Villanova on April 6.
2022 (Freshman)
- Pushed into the starting role in center field by an injury, Sailors appeared in 47 games. He started 44 times, slashing .247/.338/.343 at the dish.
- Nolan stole seven bases, slapping 10 doubles and hit two home runs.
- Sailors’ best performance of the season came in a Feb. 26 clash with Loyola Marymount where the Omaha native reached base four times, going 3-for-3 at the plate with a run scored.
- He also delivered a 3-for-4 performance with a pair of runs in Creighton’s 8-3 win at Wichita State on March 26.
- In the Bluejays’ 14-2 win to sweep Georgetown on April 10, Nolan went 2-for-3 with two RBI and three runs scored.
2017-21 (Ralston High School)
- Sailors helped Ralston to their first Nebraska State Tournament in 10 years, reaching the Class B Semifinals in 2021.
- Nolan claimed All-Nebraska and Super State First Team (Omaha World-Herald)Â honors after hitting .476 as a senior.
- Sailors was named a Rawlings Perfect Game Preseason All-American and was rated Nebraska’s third best shortstop by Perfect Game and a top-10 player in the state (PBR in 2020).
- Nolan earned two letters in baseball for the Rams after hitting .463 as a sophomore and .476 as a senior.
