Gaboriau owns impressive prep background in Texas
OMAHA, Neb. -- Texas native Mia Gaboriau has signed to play women's golf at Creighton, head coach Debbie Conry announced on Friday, April 15.
Hailing from Coppell, Texas, Gaboriau will be a freshman in the fall and have four years of eligibility for the Bluejays.
"Mia will be a great addition to our team," said Conry. "I am excited to welcome her and her family to Creighton."
Gaboriau has compiled a decorated career on the junior circuit, winning both the North Texas Junior Showcase as well as the Tangle Ridge Classic on the All-American Tour in 2021. On the Texas Junior Golf Tour last summer, she won the Elite Finale at Bridlewood as well as the Elites Cup Invitational. She also finished seventh in the American Junior Golf Association's C.T. Pan Junior Championship last year.
Gaboriau is also the captain of the Coppell High School squad. When she was 10 in 2014, Gaboriau finished 47th at the  U.S. Kids Golf World Championships at Pinehurst.

The 2021-22 Bluejay women's golf team will compete in the BIG EAST Championship, presented by JEEP, beginning Thursday in Pine Mountain, Ga.
