Women’s Soccer Posts 1-0 Exhibition Win at South Dakota

Vermillion, S.D. – A first half goal by junior Abigail Santana lifted the Creighton women's soccer team to a 1-0 win over South Dakota in an exhibition match on Saturday, Aug. 13.
Santana put the Bluejays on the board in the 37th minute, beating the Coyotes goalkeeper one-on-one and sending the ball into the back of the net.
Creighton outshot South Dakota 12-2, including holding the Coyotes shotless in the first half.
The Bluejays open the 2022 regular season with a pair of road matches, beginning on Thursday, Aug. 18 at Montana. The match is set to begin at 5 p.m.
