Omaha, Neb. -- Due to persistent lightning surrounding Creighton University and Morrison Stadium, tonight's men's soccer match between Creighton and Connecticut was suspended in the 13th minute.Â
The Bluejays and Huskies will resume the match at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 18. The game will pick up with 12:59 showing on the clock in the opening half and the Bluejays leading 1-0.
Fans will be allowed into the stadium free of charge and parking will also be free for the event on Sunday.
Creighton's 2000 team will be honored at halftime tomorrow. That squad reached the NCAA Championship game, falling to Connecticut, 2-0.
The delay of Saturday's contest also forced Creighton to cancel its match with Kansas City on Tuesday, Sept. 20.
