Women's Basketball Returns to AP Poll at #22

Omaha, Neb. -- Riding a four-game win streak, capped by an impressive 115-62 win over Northern Iowa on Sunday, the Creighton Women's Basketball squad returned to the AP Poll on Monday, December 4. The Bluejays checked in at No. 22, equaling their highest ranking of the season.

Creighton (6-1) opened the season at No. 22 in the first two AP polls, but dropped out in the third week after a loss to Green Bay. The Bluejays also were slotted at No. 13 in the first NET rankings, released by the NCAA on Monday.

Three BIG EAST teams are bundled within six spots as Connecticut (4-3) leads the conference at No. 17, Marquette (8-0) sits at No. 19 and the Bluejays round out the grouping at No. 22

In the midst of Finals Week, the Bluejays will return to the court on Sunday, December 10 in a road game at Wyoming. The contest is scheduled for a 2:00 pm (CT) tip.
