Omaha, Neb. -- Creighton Baseball's 2023 season opens on Friday, February 17 as the Bluejays begin a three-game series at McNeese State at 6:00 p.m. (CT).

Scouting the Bluejays

Creighton opens the 2022 season with a nice blend on new talent and veteran leadership.

The rotation brings back two of three from the 2022 rotation, but face the tall task of replacing the two-time BIG EAST Pitcher of the Year Dylan Tebrake.
Defensively the Bluejays have the entire middle of the diamond back as second basemen Andrew Meggs and shortstop Nolan Clifford return up the middle, while Hogan Helligso and Nolan Sailors are also back at catcher and in center field.
At the plate the Bluejays will need to replace Alan Roden (.387) and Jared Wegner (.343), but Meggs (.324), Helligso (.283) and Jack Grace (.263) offer a strong stabilizing force.

Picked to repeat as the Southland champion, McNeese State saw five players picked for the Preseason All-SLC squad.
The Cowboys finished the 2022 season 34-23, falling in the Southland Conference Tournament Final.
McNeese State ace Grant Rogers returns after a 7-4 season in 2022, tossing 82.1 innings last year.
