Baseball Loses Finale at Georgetown, 13-1

Washington, D.C. -- Bluejay Baseball dropped the series finale at Georgetown on Sunday, Arpil 16 by the score of 13-1 in seven innings.
The loss moved Creighton to 15-14 overall and 3-3 in BIG EAST action, while Georgetown climbed to 21-16 on the season and 5-4 in conference play.
The Bluejays scored first as senior Jack Grace launched his eighth home run of the season with two down in the second. Georgetown, however, answered with a solo home run in the second by Austin Kretzschmar. The Hoyas surged ahead 3-1 on a two-run blast by Michael Eze in the fourth and plated ten runs in the fifth to put the game out of reach.
Creighton starter Anthony Watts took the loss (2-3), allowing three runs on two hits and two walks in three innings. Georgetown's Jake Bloss went the distance for hte win (4-3), limiting the Bluejays to one run on two hits in seven innnings.
Creighton returns to action on Tuesday, April 18 as the Bluejays face Nebraska in a road game televised on the Big Ten Network (BTN) at 7:00 p.m.
