Bluejays Prepared for Nebraska on Tuesday

Omaha, Neb. -- Battered from a weekend series in the nation's capitol, Creighton Baseball is looking forward to the opportunity to reignite the 2023 season as the Bluejays face Nebraska at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, April 18 on the Big Ten Network.

After racing out to an 11-0 lead, Creighton Baseball found itself locked in a tie game at 11-11 in the fifth. Undaunted the Bluejays reclaimed the lead with four runs in the sixth to earn a 15-11 win over Georgetown in the series opener on Friday, April 14.
Creighton reclaimed the lead with a home run from grad transfer Tyler Lozano to left. A pair of walks and three straight singles from sophomore Hogan Helligso, freshman Tate Gillen and sophomore Nolan Sailors pushed Creighton's advantage to 15-11.
In-State Rivalries Have Intensified of Late
Rivalries truly begin when wins come on all sides. Until recently Nebraska owned the series with Creighton as well as Omaha. Over the last five years, however, the Bluejays and Mavericks began to assert themselves.
Recall 2019 when all three teams in the State of Nebraska reached the NCAA Tournament.
