Baseball Faces Omaha in Cox Kids Day Game

Omaha, Neb. -- Creighton Baseball begins the final week of the regular season on Tuesday, May 16 as the Bluejays host Omaha. The game is Creighton's Annual Cox Kids Day at the Ballpark. Elementary schools from throughout the Omaha area bus in children for the contest.

Scouting the Mavericks: 20-23
After splitting a pair of Summit League games last weekend, the Mavericks come to Charles Schwab Field having won four of their last five games. Omaha has a little work to do to clinch a spot in the Summit League Tournament, but enters the final week with a 1.5 game lead on Western Illinois.
The Mavericks bring a .287 average as a team to the game on Tuesday, led by Mike Boeve (.392) and Devin Hurdle (.391).
On the mound Omaha has a 6.38 ERA, notching 341 strikeouts in 358.1 innings.
Scouting the Bluejays: 23-22
The Bluejays enter Tuesday's contest, the Bluejays have lost seven straight. With work to do over the weekend to clinch a spot in the BIG EAST Tournament, Creighton will be looking to get the offense going.
Creighton is hitting .257 as a team, led by a quartet near the .300 mark. Sophomore Hogan Helligso the Bluejays' leading hitter at .322, while Sterling Hayes and Jack Grace both check in at .296. Sophomore Nolan Sailors is one step back at .295.
