
Emma Rosonke Named to Beyond Sports DI Softball Australia Tour Team Roster

OMAHA, Neb. -- Creighton Softball senior Emma Rosonke is one of 25 women selected by Beyond Sports for the 2023 DI Softball Australia Tour. Split into two teams, the tour will take Rosonke and her 12-player team to Sydney, Brisbane and the Gold Coast on June 12-23.
Rosonke is one of three players from the BIG EAST Conference to be invited on tour and will team up with St. John's Anese Thompson and Amy Mallah. Also joining Rosonke on tour is Iowa's Brylee Kloterman, Nia Carter, Denali Loecker and Grace Banes, as well as Longwood's Jaden Pone and Kayley DeVivi, Bucknell's Ollivia Marinelli, Caldwell's Madison Burns and Clemson's McKenzie Clark.
Nick Puglisi, video and analytic coordinator of Virginia's softball team, will be the team's head coach.
"I am thrilled to represent Creighton while being on the trip of a lifetime," said Rosonke. "It is truly something special and I am very grateful for this opportunity. I am looking forward to meeting other softball players from across the country and experiencing a whole new culture."
Rosonke and the rest of the team will open the Australian tour with a game against George's River Softball on June 15th. The squad will then take on Gold Coast Softball on June 17th, before closing out their stay with a contest against the Brisbane Softball Association on June 20th.
This season, Rosonke appeared in 52 games, earning the start 50 times in right field. She owned a .283 batting average with 39 hits, including 10 doubles and seven home runs, while ranking third on the team with 32 RBI. Rosonke also contributed in the field leading the Bluejays outfield with four assists while fielding at a .986 clip.
