Blue Squad Rallies to Win Intrasquad Scrimmage

Bluejays open regular-season on Aug. 25th
OMAHA, Neb. -- The Blue squad saved five match points in the fifth set to rally for a 20-18 victory over the White team in Creighton Volleyball's annual Blue-White Scrimmage on Saturday.
Scores of the match in favor of Blue were 19-25, 25-20, 18-25, 25-19, 20-18. Assistant coach Brian Rosen coached the Blue team, while Angie Oxley Behrens led the White squad.
All 18 players on the roster played at least one set on both of the Blue and White sides as the Bluejay staff juggled the line-ups in preparation for the regular-season opener on Aug. 25th vs. Loyola (Chicago).
The White side raced to a 7-1 lead in the fifth set and seemed in control with a 14-10 lead in the finale before Blue rallied to knot the score at 14-all. The Blue team had match point chances at 15-14, 16-15 and 18-17 before ultimately prevailing 20-18.
The Bluejays host Northern Colorado next Saturday at 1 p.m. in an exhibition match at D.J. Sokol Arena.
