The Creighton junior tied CU's 54-hole record at the MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial on Tuesday
OMAHA, Neb. -- Creighton junior Eleanor Hudepohl has been named BIG EAST Women's Golfer of the Week for the third time in her career, and first time this fall.
Hudepohl tied Creighton's 54-hole record with a 3-under 213 to help lead a young Creighton women's golf team to a tie for eighth place at the season-opening MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial on Tuesday.
Hudepohl shot rounds of 71, 69 and 73 for a 213 aggregate. Her first two rounds on Monday made her the first Bluejay woman ever to shoot multiple under par rounds in the same day, and her second round score made her just the third female in team history to finish a round in the 60s. Hudepohl's 213 total matched Katherine Lemke school-record for a 54-hole event, which Lemke accomplished en route to winning the 2022 BIG EAST Championship.
The Cincinnati, Ohio, product has finished 13th or better in each of her last nine tournaments dating to last season, and owns nine top-five finishes in 21 career events at CU.
Hudepohl was previously honored as BIG EAST Golfer of the week on Oct. 4, 2022 and again in the spring on Feb. 16, 2023.
Creighton's rounds of 297, 296 and 299 marked just the second time in program history the team had posted three sub-300 rounds in the same event, and the 892 aggregate was CU's fourth-best 54-hole showing in history.
The 99-player field competed on the Rivercut Golf Course, which measured 6,244 yards on its Par 72 layout.
