
Jensen Earns Spot on Ann Meyers Drysdale Preseason Watch List

Announced on Tuesday, October 29 the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award, in its eighth year, honors the top shooting guard in women's NCAA Division I college basketball. It is named after the Class of 1993 Hall of Famer, the first player, regardless of gender, to be chosen for an All-America Team in four consecutive college seasons.
Jensen led the team with a 17.4 scoring average (558 points), to go with 98 assists and 27 steals. She earned All-BIG EAST First Team honors following each of the last two seasons and has surpassed the 1,000 career point mark at Creighton in less than three years. Last season she played a team-high 1,114 minutes, going 208-of-469 (44.3%) from the field with a team best 74 three-pointers (74-of-202). She also led the team in free-throw percentage at 90.7, hitting 68-of-75.
Joining Jensen from the BIG EAST Conference on the Ann Meyers Drysdale Watch List is Azzi Fudd of Connecticut.

Fans are encouraged to participate in Fan Voting in each of the three rounds starting on Friday, November 1. In late January, the watch list of 20 players for the 2025 Ann Meyers Drysdale Awards will be narrowed to 10, and then in late February, to just five. In March, the five finalists will be presented to Meyers Drysdale, and the Hall of Fame's selection committees, where winners will be selected. The Selection Committees for the Ann Meyers Drysdale Awards are composed of top men's and women's college basketball personnel, including media members, head coaches, sports information directors, and Hall of Famers.

The winner of the Meyers Drysdale Awards will be presented on a to-be-determined date, along with the other four members of the Men's and Women's Starting Five. Additional awards being presented include the Nancy Lieberman Awards (Point Guard), Cheryl Miller Awards (Small Forward), Katrina McClain Awards (Power Forward), and the Lisa Leslie Awards (Center).Â
