OMAHA, Neb. – Creighton women's soccer head coach Jimmy Walker has announced the addition of Anna Bragg (Omaha, Neb.) and Samantha Lee (San Clemente, Calif.) to the Bluejays' 2024 signing class.
Bragg is a local forward from Marian High School, where she has led the Crusaders to three straight NSAA Class A State Tournaments. As a junior Bragg guided her team to a 15-4 overall record and a District Championship while earning Omaha World-Herald Class A Second Team All-State honors. She also collected Lincoln Journal Star Super State Honorable Mention acclaim after scoring six goals and dishing out eight assists in 2023.
The Omaha native was also a key part to Marian's 2022 state tournament appearance as she netted five goals and handed out three more assists on the way to earning Class A All-State Honorable Mentions honors. Bragg also guided the Crusaders to the NSAA Class A State Semifinals after contributing five goals and three assists as a freshman in 2021.
While serving as a team captain with the Crusaders, Bragg also plays club soccer for the Gretna Elite Academy. Off the pitch, Bragg is an active member of the National Honor Society.
"We are excited to have Anna join the Creighton women's soccer family for the 2024 season," said Walker. "Anna is a hardworking, athletic, attacking player that is a competitor with a good eye for goal. She is a local kid that knows Creighton well and will be a great cultural fit for the program on and off the field!"
Lee is a left back defender from San Clemente High School in Calif. Serving as a three-year varsity starter and the team captain, Lee has led the Triton's to a pair of California Division I Sectional Quarterfinal appearances while dishing out 15 assists and netting six goals.
Lee also plays for one of the top club soccer programs in the country in San Diego Surf ECNL under the direction of head coach Gus Castaneda. While with Surf, Lee has led her team to a back-to-back South Coast League Champions and a pair of CIFS Quarterfinal appearances. She has contributed north of 10 assists and three goals per club season while guiding her team to a national ranking of 33 and a state ranking of 10 in 2023.
"We are looking forward to having Samantha with us for the 2024 season," added Walker. "She is a talented left back from the San Diego Surf club in California and has really impressed us with her play. She is a talented, athletic left back with very good technical abilities. Coming in from one of the top clubs in the country that competes for National Championships, Samantha will be a great addition from both a soccer and cultural standpoint."
