
History Made! Lanahan and Gandini Earned First Ever ITA Doubles Team Ranking

The duo becomes the first Bluejays in program history to earn an ITA National Ranking
OMAHA, Neb. – Creighton men's tennis senior Matthew Lanahan and junior Alejandro Gandini continued to create school history on Wednesday, Feb. 7, becoming the first doubles team in program history to earn an ITA National Ranking.
The dynamic duo enters the rankings at No. 47 in doubles after finishing the fall season with a 7-3 record. Earlier this year, Lanahan and Gandini recorded a runner-up finish at the ITA Central Regional, becoming the first Bluejays in program history to qualify for the ITA National Fall Championships, where they advanced to the Round of 16 with a straight-sets win over Old Dominion's Jakob Cadonau and Cosme Rolland De Ravel.
Lanahan and Gandini have continued their success into the spring season, combining for 16 victories across doubles and singles play.
The Creighton men's tennis team returns to action on Friday, Feb. 9 when the Bluejays hosts Montana State at the Hanscom Tennis Courts with first serve scheduled for 9 a.m.
