Zielinski Leads Men's Golf at Robert Kepler Intercollegiate

Senior paces Bluejays in BIG EAST Championships tune-up
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Creighton men's golf team placed 11th at the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate in its final tournament before next week's BIG EAST Championships.
Charlie Zielinski (74-75-73) led Creighton with a 222 total for the tournament, good for 27th place overall. Friday's 74 was the 100th round of the senior's stellar career as a Bluejay.
Freshman Owen Price finished in 38th after scores of 74, 72 and 78 for a 224 aggregate.
Sophomore Grant Feldman improved every round to take 47th , completing loops of 77, 75 and 73 for a 225 total.
Seniors Jackson Thompson (77-75-74=226) and Shaun Campbell (74-74-79=227) rounded out the Bluejay contingent, with Thompson tying for 57th and Campbell sharing 64th place.
Indiana (296-291-284=871) won the 18-team tournament by three shots over tourney host Ohio State (293-290-291=874). Nevada's Enrique Dimayuga (69-71-73=213) earned medalist honors in the field of 99 competitors with a one-shot victory over Ohio State's Jackson Chandler (68-71-75=214).
The Ohio State University's Scarlet Course hosted the tournament, which played to 7,455 yards on its Par 71 layout.
Creighton closes the regular-season on April 27-29 at the BIG EAST Championship Presented by JEEP in Hardeeville, S.C.
