Â
The 2024 Academic All District ® Women's At-Large Team, selected by CSC, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for the combined performances on the course and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America ® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions. NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division II and NAIA. Sports eligible for women's at-large program consideration include beach volleyball, bowling, crew/rowing, fencing, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing and water polo.
Today's honors are just the second and third within the program from College Sports Communicators since Maggy Hejlek in 2009-10. Hudepohl picked up her second straight recognition after also getting the nod last year, while Yturralde earned her first accolade from CSC.
Hudepohl led Creighton with a 76.71 scoring average in 2023-24, including a program-best six rounds of par or lower. She owned 10 career Top 5 finishes and 13 career Top 10's. Hudepohl's 76.32 career scoring average ranked second-best among CU players with 30 or more rounds. Hudepohl was a First Team All-BIG EAST selection in 2022-23, when she set a program-record with a 75.17 scoring average and won a pair of tournaments. The Cincinnati, Ohio native, who graduated in three years from CU's Honors program in May, was an Economics major.
Yturralde played in 11 events and 31 rounds as a sophomore, ranking fourth on the team with a 79.29 scoring average. She opened the fall with rounds of 73 and 74 at the MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial (Sept. 11), with the 73 tying her collegiate best. The La Mesa, Calif., native owns eight career Top 20 finishes and ranks sixth in program history in career scoring average. She is a Studio Art major.
Both Hudepohl and Yturralde will now be listed on the CSC Academic All-America ballot. Those honorees will be announced on July 16th.
