Maeder Repeats as BIG EAST Setter of the Week

Senior earns fourth honor
OMAHA, Neb. -- Creighton Volleyball senior Annalea Maeder has been named BIG EAST Setter of the Week for the second straight week and fourth time this season.
Maeder averaged 11.67 assists, 2.17 digs, 1.33 kills and 0.67 blocks per set as Creighton swept St. John's and Seton Hall and hit a league-best .316 last week.
The Ried, Switzerland native had 31 assists, seven digs, six kills and two blocks against the Red Storm, then owned 39 assists, two aces, two blocks and two kills in a romp over Seton Hall.
Maeder's 11.67 assists per set led the BIG EAST last week and helped improve her league-leading 10.30 assists per set average, which ranks 22nd nationally.
Maeder was also honored on Sept. 15, Sept. 29 and Oct. 13 before this week's recognition.Â
Nora Wurtz, Sydney Breissinger and Ava Martin all landed on the BIG EAST's Weekly Honor Roll.
 The second half of BIG EAST play begins Friday when No. 13 Creighton (15-5, 8-0 BIG EAST) visits Providence for a 4 p.m. Central match that will be broadcast on ESPN+.
