Volleyball Moves to Season-Best #6 in RPI; Stays 12th in AVCA Poll

The No. 12 ranking matches a season-best, as the Bluejays were also 12th in the preseason poll released on Aug. 6 as well as each of the past three weeks. The No. 6 spot in the RPI is a season-best.
The Bluejays have won 18 matches in a row and 23-5 on the season after sweeping both St. John's and Seton Hall on the road last weekend.
The Bluejays are one of 11 schools (along with Baylor, Kentucky, Louisville, Nebraska, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Stanford, Texas and Wisconsin) to have been ranked each of the last 75 polls. The streak began on Sept. 6, 2021 and is a program-record.
Creighton has been ranked in all but six of the past 144 times the AVCA has put out a Top 25 poll and 152 times in program history, which ranks 37th-most all-time. Creighton is 256-53 all-time when playing as a ranked team in the AVCA poll.
Including 2025, Creighton has spent at least one week in the Top 25 each of the last 14 seasons. CU's all-time best ranking in program history is No. 5, which came four straight weeks last November (Nov. 4, Nov. 11, Nov. 18, Nov. 25, 2024).
Nebraska remained in the top spot after a 26-0 start, just ahead of Kentucky, Texas, Pittsburgh and Stanford.
Creighton returns to the court on Saturday when it meets fourth-seeded and tournament host Marquette (17-9, 11-5 BIG EAST) in the semifinals of the BIG EAST Championship Presented by JEEP.
