12/1/2025 2:07:00 PM | Volleyball
Creighton finished the regular-season at No. 6 in the NCAA RPI, down one spot from a week ago. The Jays rank third nationally with 13 Top 50 wins and are tied for seventh with six Top 25 victories.
The Bluejays have won 20 matches in a row and are 25-5 on the season after sweeping Marquette and Xavier to win the BIG EAST Tournament on Nov. 22-23 in Milwaukee.
The Bluejays are one of 11 schools (along with Baylor, Kentucky, Louisville, Nebraska, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Stanford, Texas and Wisconsin) to have been ranked each of the last 77 polls. The streak began on Sept. 6, 2021 and is a program-record.
Creighton has been ranked in all but six of the past 146 times the AVCA has put out a Top 25 poll and 154 times in program history, which ranks 37th-most all-time. Creighton is 258-53 all-time when playing as a ranked team in the AVCA poll.
Including 2025, Creighton has spent at least one week in the Top 25 each of the last 14 seasons. CU's all-time best AVCA ranking in program history is No. 5, which came four straight weeks last November (Nov. 4, Nov. 11, Nov. 18, Nov. 25, 2024).
Nebraska remained in the top spot after moving to 30-0Â just ahead of Kentucky, Texas, Pittsburgh and Stanford.
Up next, Creighton hosts the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament for the fifth straight season. Utah squares off against Northern Iowa at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, followed 30 minutes later by Creighton's match against Northern Colorado. This year marks Creighton's 14th straight season in the NCAA Tournament.
