Jensen Named Top-10 for Ann Meyers Drysdale Shooting Guard of the Year

Omaha, Neb. -- Lauren Jensen was named to the Top-10 for the Ann Meyers Drysdale Shooting Guard of the Year Award on Tuesday, February 4. Jensen is the long BIG EAST representative on the list.
Through 22 games Jensen leads Creighton with 386 points (17.5 ppg), she is second on the team with 86 assists and has topped 20 points or more in 10 games during the 2024-25 season. She was named the to the USBWA National Team of the Week on November 24 as she led the Bluejays to an upset of No. 21 Nebraska, scoring 31 points – her second 30-point game of the season. Lauren scored 19 of her 31 in the second half, including six straight from the free throw line to secure the win in the final 90 seconds. Playing all 40 minutes, the Minnesota native was 10-for-19 from the field, hitting 4-of-9 from beyond the arc. The following week Jensen Claimed the Emerald Coast Classic MVP by helping the Bluejays go 2-0 in the Beach Bracket of the Emerald Coast Classic. Jensen averaged 17.0 ppg, 5.5 apg, 4.5 rpg and shot 54.5% from the field including 6-for-11 (54.5 %) from long range.
Fans can support their favorite players in the remaining rounds by participating in Fan Voting, presented by Dell Technologies, starting Friday, February 7, on hoophallawards.com. The Fan Vote will count as one committee vote during the finalist selection process. The final five candidates for the award will be released to the public on a day by day basis starting the week of March 4, with voting set to follow on March 8. The list is fluid throughout the whole process and players have the ability to play themselves on or off our list until the winner is finally selected. The winner of this award, as well as presentation details, will be announced towards the end of the season.Â
