Becker Paces Women's Golf at 2025 Spring Jackrabbit Invitational

BOULDER CREEK, Nev. -- Morgan Becker and Katharine Marshall helped the Creighton women's golf team to a 13th place finish at the 2025 Spring Jackrabbit Invitational, which concluded on Tuesday at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder Creek, Nev.
Becker tied for 36th place with a 228 total, bookending rounds of 78 with an even-par 72 in the second round. The junior's round of 72 tied the best round of the season by any Bluejay.
One shot behind Becker was Marshall, who tied for 40th place. The sophomore authored loops of 75, 77 and 77 for a 229 total.
Tying for 55th place were sophomore Annie Dawson (78-81-77=236) and freshman Julia Karmazin (79-76-81=236). The two women have played 17 rounds this season and are separated but just a single shot.
Rounding out CU's line-up was sophomore Karsen Morrison, who finished in 70th place following scores of 79, 80 and 85 for a 244 aggregate. Morrison has now shot an opening-round 79 in each of the last three tournaments.
Playing as individuals and not factoring into CU's team score were freshman Kinsley Smith (88-79-79=246) and sophomore Abby Aeschleman (84-84-81=249). Smith tied for 75th place while Aeschleman tied for 80th place.
South Dakota State's McKenzie Mages (66-76-71=213) used a six-under 66 in the opening round to post the wire-to-wire victory, earning medalist honors by two shots over Omaha's Katie Ruge (73-75-67=215). Tournament host South Dakota State (289-292-298=879) won the team title by nine shots over fellow Summit League rivals North Dakota State (300-287-301=888) and St. Thomas (300-282-306=888).
Boulder Creek Golf Club measured 6,377 yards on its Par 72 layout to host the action, which featured 15 teams and 93 players.
The Bluejays return to the course on March 24-26 at the Ozarks National Invitational in Hollister, Mo.
