Softball Adds Midweek Contests with Drake and Kansas City

OMAHA, Neb. – In attempts to replace five games from the San Marcos Classic cancelation, Creighton softball head coach Krista Wood announced the addition of midweek contests against Drake and Kansas City on Tuesday.
Originally scheduled to open the home portion of the schedule with one game against Drake on Tuesday, March 11, has now been turned into a doubleheader. The first game between the Bluejays and Bulldogs is set to begin at 12:30 p.m. with game two to follow 30 minutes after the completion of game one.
In addition, Creighton has also shifted its contest against Kansas City on Wednesday, March 19 to a doubleheader. Game one with the Roos is set for 3 p.m. from the CU Sports Complex.
The Bluejays are set to open BIG EAST play this weekend at Providence, with their three-game series set to begin on Friday at 2 p.m. Central.
