The last Bluejay sweep came at Charleston Southern in 2024 (March 28-30). The last time Creighton swept a BIG EAST series was nearly two years ago as Creighton took three from Butler in Indianapolis from April 28-30, 2023. The last home sweep was also against St. John's from April 21-23, 2023.
Comparing Wins and Losses Show Drastic Swings
Entering the week at 23-12 it can be expected to see better numbers in wins than losses, but for the 2025 Bluejays the gap is staggering. In Creighton's 23 wins the Bluejays are hitting .301 as a team and averaging just under eight runs per game (7.78). During the 12 losses the squad is hitting .230 with just over four runs per game (4.08).

Other standouts coaches with the same tenure as Servais include two BIG EAST teams – Jim Penders (Connecticut) and Rob Sheppard (Seton Hall) – as well as Creighton alum Brian O'Connor (Virginia), Craig Gibson (Mercer), Mark Machtolf (Gonzaga)
and Gary Adcock (California Baptist).

Trio of Individuals Post Impressive Weekend Against Red Storm
Three individuals had specifically notable weekends in the Bluejays' sweep of St. John's (April 17-19) as Matt Scherrman
delivered at least one RBI in each game, while Garrett Langrell and Jimmy Burke grabbed a pair of saves and a pair of wins
respectively out of the bullpen.
Burke
Coming on in relief in the first and third games, Jimmy Burke snagged wins in both contests. Burke allowed two runs on four hits over 2.1 frames, but held the Red Storm in check at the right time as the Bluejay offense struck.
Langrell
With saves in the first and third games, Garrett Langrell moved into a five-way tie for ninth in a single season by picking up his eighth and ninth saves of 2025. Langrell went 1.2 innings in the series opener and got the final two outs on Saturday to preserve Creighton's 4-3 win.

Against the Red Storm he hit for the cycle throughout the weekend with a triple in the opener, a home run in game two and a double in the finale. His other three hits were singles.
Trailing 2-0 in Each Game with St. John's, Bluejays Strike Late in Each Game for Sweep
Trailing 2-0 in every game and 4-0 in the opener, the Bluejay offense came alive in the fifth inning or later. In the first four
