Flanery and Fralick will participate with USA Basketball for the first time. Flanery, Creighton's all-time wins leader, just completed his 24th season at the school. He has guided the Bluejays to eight NCAA Tournament appearances, most recently in 2025 where Creighton made their fourth consecutive trip to March Madness. In 2021-22, Flanery led Creighton to the Elite Eight, the program's best tournament performance in school history. Fralick just completed her second season at Michigan State and has led the Spartan's to back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances. Prior to her time in East Lansing, Fralick spent five seasons at Bowling Green University and reached the postseason three times, including leading the Falcons to a 31-win season and a WNIT semifinals appearance in 2022-23. Fralick won an NCAA Division II national championship at Ashland University in 2017.
"I'm honored to coach with USA basketball. I look forward to working with a super talented group of players and coaches," said Flanery. "It takes on a little extra meaning too when you are involved in representing your country."Â Â
